This circuit is based on the original 7 transistor version of the DBA Fuzz War. It is more or less a direct clone. The Wrong Way Fuzz isn’t just seven transistors stacked up for the sake of excess. Part of its sonic violence comes from the fact that several of those transistors are reverse-biased, literally wired “the wrong way.” This trick breaks the expected transistor amplification rules and forces the devices into a chaotic operating region where clipping becomes unpredictable, noisy, and unstable. The tone knob has a MASSIVE sweep from dark, thick doom to biting, chainsaw sustain. Standard 9V center negative (not provided) with no option for a battery inside the unit.
